My Winter Skin Routine
Tested by Wind, Snow & Altitude. Exactly what I use in the depth of Winter.
Living in the mountains — with the harshest elements on the planet — has truly forced me to fine tune my winter skincare routine. Jackson Hole doesn’t mess around. The air is dry. The sun is sneaky and extra powerful at this altitude. And if your skin barrier isn’t strong or protective? You will know immediately, AND IT SHOWS.
Over the years, I’ve tried so many products. While I’m not much of a makeup girlie, I do obsess over skincare. I will happily test anything if someone tells me it might make my skin glow or survive January. After a lot of trial and error, I can confidently say: I have found my holy grail winter lineup. This has been my routine this year — with a few new-to-me additions that I am genuinely loving.
AM Steps:
Sunday Riley C.E.O. Vitamin C Serum - This is what I put on first in the morning for an instant glow and dose of Vitamin C.
Dr. Diamond’s INSTAFACIAL PLASMA - A new-to-me brand and product that I started using 3 weeks ago and I can say I immediately saw a difference within one week of using. My skin is brighter and more even. Formulated with bioengineered human identical growth factors that simulate platelet-rich plasma’s ability to support skin repair & rejuvenation. Use morning and night.
Dr. Diamond’s INSTAFACIAL® INFUSION - This is to be used following the Instafacial Plasma, to help boost collagen production. The first week I used it, it definitely had a stinging sensation which means it was working. Use morning and night.
Ursa Major Alpine Cream - I’ve been an absolute loyal follower of Alpyn Beauty so I was hesitant to use this for my daily moisturizer, but so many of my instagram followers have said it’s equally as good. I have to say, I’m loving it for my day to day! Goes on thick without being greasy.
Solara Fortune Teller Sunscreen - I was so excited to find a serum that was tinted and also had a higher SPF. The tint gives me a slight foundation look without being cakey and I love having the sun protection before walking out the door.
PM Steps:
Elemis Pro-Collage Cleansing Balm - This feels like an absolute treat after a long day. It smells delicious and can take off my makeup in one quick swoop.

Elemis Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Pads - TBH, I sometimes just use these to take off my makeup if I’m feeling lazy. Otherwise, I add in this step as it helps to smooth and resurface my face and I like to use this first to set my skin up for my nightly serum routine.
Dr. Diamond’s INSTAFACIAL PLASMA & Dr. Diamond’s INSTAFACIAL® INFUSION - see above and repeat these steps at night.
Dr. Diamond’s INSTAFACIAL® EMULSION - This is the third and final step to the Dr. Diamond’s routine and is going to be your retinoid step. It feels soooo good. What I Use Sparingly:
SaltyFace Self Tanner - I have never liked self-tanners as I always felt I looked so fake or hated the streaks. Well, SaltyFace sent me their Body Set recently. I felt like no time like the dead of winter to really test it out. YOU GUYS! It’s incredible. No smells, no streaks, no staining. Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Daily Peel Pads - Another great option for daily acid resurfacing pads. They sting a bit, but that means it’s working.
SkinBetter AlphaRet Overnight Cream - I was using this product nightly before discovering the Dr. Diamond’s products above, and I will probably go back and forth between these two as I loved the results. This retinoid cream really feels like its working powerfully and I have noticed my skin is much more sensitive to sunlight so a daily SPF is necessary.
